Plenty of people have made fun of Twitter since it became the popular new social media hotspot, but none of them have gone viral quite like the “Twouble with Twitters” video did in 2009. The video thrusts an unwary twentysomething into the “Twittersphere,” where millions of people are blabbing constantly about the mundane things they’re doing, talking to “no one and everyone.” It focuses mainly on the inane aspects of Twitter, but that allows it to perfectly capture why the idea of constant updates to the question “What are you doing?” makes Twitter such a polarizing trend. Twitter fiends might be tempted to get offended at the video, but relax — it’s just comedy. If you can’t acknowledge the humor in the idea of Twitter, then maybe you’re taking it too seriously.
