It’s official: You no longer have any reason to stuff photos into boxes, promising yourself you’ll get around to organizing them eventually. Google invites you to download Picasa, a free program that allows you to store your photos on your computer and online—and, if you choose to make your albums public, share them with others. And it offers much more than storage space; you can edit your photos for lighting and red-eye, create slideshows and collages, and make movies that combine your photos, videos, and music. Allowing you to store up to a million photos, Picasa brings photo albums to the 21st century. Now your memories will always be on hand, rather than disintegrating in a box in your closet.
