There is something about organizing social events that turns me into an irritable, nervous wreck. I hate — absolutely hate — calling up people and making sure everyone is going to the same place at approximately the same time. Social networking has eased this tension, with its option of blanket invitations to all your contacts (and after all, if someone is not on your contact list, what’s the point of having them there?). twtvite is a Twitter application that allows you to create events and invite all your followers in a couple of impossibly easy steps that do not make me rage, while also allowing you to add maps and RSVP numbers. twtvite takes the sting out of organization and, while it doesn’t confirm that your best friend won’t fight with your girlfriend and will hate you for throwing this party, it does everything else.
