No matter how tech-savvy we might think we are, ultimately we are all just human beings expressing our basic feelings and emotions, albeit via increasingly digital and public platforms. The people behind Twistori have begun an interesting social experiment of sorts; they have designed a website that displays Twitter updates containing six basic emotions: love, hate, think, believe and wish. All these anonymous updates appear in real-time on Twistori’s simple interface, creating a continuous visualization of what is, in effect, the emotional landscape and personality of Twitter users across the globe. Inspired by We Feel Fine, a similar website displaying an aggregate of emotions scoured from across the Internet, Twistori is a great way of connecting to a much more basic picture that defines us all.
